Do you experience any of the following digestive symptoms on regular basis?
- Constipation
- Diarrhea
- Gas
- Bloating
- Intestinal pain
- Stomach pain
- Heartburn
- Nausea
- Vomiting
Some people are so used to having one or more of the above symptoms on regular basis that they come to believe that it is normal. It may be normal in that a lot of people experience them, but it is not healthy. All of these symptoms are your body’s attempt to communicate to you that something is off.
Hippocrates said “all disease starts in the gut”. Modern medicine is finally catching up with this concept. There is now a large body of evidence in the literature to support Hippocrates statement. Most, if not all, chronic conditions have been found to have a link to digestive function; for example autism, Alzheimer’s, depression, Parkinson’s, ADHD, heart disease, arthritis, cancer, fibromyalgia, diabetes, and the list goes on.
How is it that poor digestive health has such a big impact? Putting it simply, poor digestion produces inflammation and inflammation is associated with all chronic conditions.
Let’s be proactive and address digestive health.
